This boat was built with extended offshore trips in mind.

A galley, dinette and enclosed head w/ shower compliment the cabin.

The boat is equipped with all required USCG safety gear and the latest navigating & fishfinding electronics.

40 ft. Custom commercial/charter boat.  Capt.. Jan was directly involved in the building process. The "Yankee"  was made with Tuna fishing in mind. The boat had its first season in 2004, and has proved to be just as "fishy" as "his old boat."  The Yankee has a large cockpit perfect for charter fishing with plenty of room to fish comfortably.  She is a great sea boat when most charter boats stay home. If you are up for roughing the weather the Yankee is to (within reason).  She is powered by CAT C12 that pushes her cruise to 20 knots.  She is also equipped with all the latest in electronics.  Radar, GPS, Autopilot, 2 VHF radios, a sideband radio, and a top of the line Simrad fish finder. 

Captain Jan Waalewyn owns and operates the YANKEE from

June - November.

Captain Jan is a USCG licensed and insured captain.  In the winters he is a Merchent Mariner and travels across the Atlantic Ocean.  He has 25 years of fishing expirience and is a well known Captain. He is part of The FISHERMANS OUTFITTER prostaff
  He has taken over 200 giant bluefin tuna. The largest being 1360 pounds.  He has expirience fishing from Canada all the way to florida.  Capt Jan and the Yankee finished 4th in their first ever  Oak Bluffs Monster Shark tournament in 2004 that was televised on ESPN.
